Depending on the type of brush the nail polish brand offers will depend on how much nail
polish you can apply to each nail at a time. Thin brushes do not make it easy to apply nail polish is the three strokes per nail concept. A wider brush will make three strokes really easy to apply.
Easy tip to remember: Place the brush in the middle of your nail will make it so the majority of the nail polish will be in the position to be worked evenly over the whole rest of the nail.

One mistake that happens especially if it’s a quick dry nail polish is you keep applying polish back over again after you have applied three strokes. What happens is it starts looking rough and tacky. If you missed a spot or two, you can usually rectify it with the second coat of nail polish. Some brands of nail polish while drying will even itself out but that is not a sure thing. When this happens the best thing to do is just start over.
Mistake number two that happens often is not taking the time to wait between coats. The best thing to do is to wait two minutes or so and apply the second coat of nail polish. This will even out the nail polish and in fact in some colors help your polish to look deeper and richer. You will find that some nail polishes may need only one coat applied but the majority of nail polishes need at least two coats.
Mistake number three is not cleaning up around your fingernails after application is done. That is a sure giveaway sign that you did it yourself. Apply your top coat and wait at least 5 minutes before going about removing any nail polish you might have gotten on your cuticles.
The easiest way to remove any nail polish around your nails is to take a orange stick and
windup a little bit of cotton and dip it into your nail polish remover. Carefully go around each fingernail to remove any excess nail polish.
