Why Should You Care Where You Buy Your Hair Care Products? by Kim Snyder

There are all types of brands of shampoos and conditioners that you can buy these days. From your local salon, to your local drugstore, you are seeing professional salon only products being sold.

Have you ever looked at the back of your brand name bottle of shampoo? If it says "guarantee when purchased from a professional stylist only" and you bought it a WalMart do you think it's still guaranteed? Or what if you have a bottle that says "Authorized for sale in professional salons" and you got it a Costco? What makes them a salon? It's a shame that things like this are happening because in a lot of ways the major head care product creators are killing sales for salons.

Ever wonder why you should buy your products from a salon not your local drugstore? The products you see in Costco are there for a reason, they are usually mistakes, when created something wasn't quite up to standards to what would be expected for a salon so they are dumped in drugstores etc so that the company doesn't lose money. But it still has the brand name on the bottle so you the customer think you are getting a deal. But are you really? Now I have heard of salons dumping product, so this does indeed happen.

In fact I had a chat with a company to find out if this was true, are professional salon hair care products they offer indeed found in a Dollar Store due to the fact that when the brand was sold, a salon dumped all their remaining stock? And yes it did happen. It happen because the salon had no idea where to return the product for a refund towards buying another hair care brand.  So this does happens, major brands say this is why you see their product in a drugstore all the time, ok but just how many salons are dumping the same product? You know that the amount of products you see all the time in a local drugstore; there is no way it got there because salons dumping product. Be real here folks.

Now on the other hand if you just paid over $600 for your hairstylist to creat the perfect red for you, are you going to want the color to fade? No it's costly to pay to get the best hair color, if your hairstylist recommends a brand best suited for your amazing new flaming red hair, are you going to buy your shampoo at a drugstore just to save a few bucks? Who knows what better for your hair, your stylist or that kid behind the counter more interested in trying to get away with texting her boyfriend than helping you figure out from a sea of hair care product choices? Think about it, when you pay to get your hair color touched up because you were not using the best products for it. Save money on shampoo now, pay for your hair color sooner..

Next time you buy a shampoo that should be sold only in a salon you are helping the brand make money off their mistakes. If your hairstylist recommends a brand there is a reason for it. Talk with your stylist if you can't afford a salon brand hair care product then ask if there are any they would recommend you can buy somewhere else. A good stylist knows what to look for, and they also know what is the best products for your hair. It's your crowning glory don't you want to keep it that way?
