A few unbreakable rules of nail care.
I came across a few rules lately that I thought were very interesting because you see the same ones just about everywhere. There are:
1- Take your vitamins. What goes in your body will help take care of your nails so show the world just how bad your diet is. Dull hair and dull brittle nails are proof you’re not getting enough protein, calcium and other important nutrients in your diet.
2- Don’t be a slave to nail polish trends!! You see it all the time too. Just because the in color is purple glitter doors mean you have to wear it too. If it does look good on your fingernails but you must wear it, wear it on your toes! I think some of the coolest colors just make your open toe shoes stand out in a crowd especially in the summer.
3- Don’t be afraid to try a new color you never thought you would ever wear. Got darker, go lighter there is a million shades of red out there. There has to be one right for you. If you buy a color that you apply once and hate it, there are lots of nail bloggers out there that might be interested in a swap or willing to buy it at a lesser cost. Especially if it's a really high-end polish brand like Chanel which are over 20.00 a bottle!! I just bought a color that application of it made me just dislike it. And I mean really dislike it. After some great information from a few twitter buddies (thanks guys) I really debating if I want to try and apply it again.
4- Take care of your tools. Learn how to follow the top three s- sterilize, sanitation, and storage. If you get manicures done and want to take your own tools with you, ask your manicurist the best places to get one time use products for nails. That's if your manicurist isn't all ready using them herself. Or have two sets, one for home use and one for when you get your nails done.
5- If your polish is chipped and it's a dark color? Believe me if you can see it so can everyone else. That's why if you get your nails done take your own polish with you. Learn how to fix chipped polish if you don't want to redo all your nails. Don't have time for chipped polish fixing all the time? (Some brands are really bad, can chip first day) then wear lighter colors. When they chip it's not as noticeable. If you work in an office? Be prepared to be redoing your polish a lot.
6- Don’t forget to use hand moisturizer. Did you know that paper is one of the biggest enemies for your hands! You got to keep your hands moisturized because paper will suck out all moisture in your hands.
Got dry parched cuticles and fingertips? It's your job taking its toll on your hands and nails. If you can use the moisturizer on your face you can use it on your hands.
Just thought these would be interesting enough to share with you.
